Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Ratchaworawihan is an invaluable temple in Chiang Mai that holds great importance in the region. Situated in the Doi Suthep-Doi Pui National Park, this temple is considered a must-visit destination for tourists in Chiang Mai. The temple was constructed during the reign of King Kue Na Thammikarat, the 6th Chao Luang of Chiang Mai, to enshrine relics he had brought from Si Satchanalai. The temple's most significant feature is the Sukhothai-style pagoda that houses Lord Buddha's relics. The surrounding corridor area also contains several ancient sites that have been declared historical. Anyone who has not paid homage to Phra That Doi Suthep is considered to have missed an essential part of their visit to Chiang Mai.

Thapae Walking Street is the largest pedestrian street market in Chiang Mai. It is open only on Sundays from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and stretches for about 2-3 kilometers. The main road is Ratchadamnoen Road, starting from the Tha Phae Gate and ending at Wat Phra Singh Woramahawihan. The secondary road is Phrapokklao Road, intersecting in a cross shape from the Three Kings Monument Square to Chedi Luang Worawihan Temple.

Vendors sell a variety of local products, clothing, bags with Northern or hill tribe patterns, handicrafts, dolls, souvenirs, and local food and drinks. However, most shops sell similar items. If you're looking for more unique finds, it's recommended to explore the Sincerity Market. Driving to Thapae Walking Street is not advisable due to heavy traffic and limited parking. It's best to travel by red car, taxi, or Grab.

The best time to visit is around 6:00 p.m. when there are fewer crowds. However, during festivals, the street can become extremely crowded between 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitors are advised to be cautious of their belongings, especially valuable items, and carry them in front of their body for safety.
