Randy Orton's wrestling career might be coming to an end. With a record of being a 10-time WWE champion and a four-time world heavyweight champion, he has established himself as a legendary figure in the industry, known as The Legend Killer and The Viper.
Unfortunately, a back injury suffered during a tag-team match last year has raised concerns about his future in the ring. His father, the renowned pro wrestler "Cowboy" Bob Orton, recently discussed Randy's potential return with Sportskeeda. However, it seems uncertain whether he will make a comeback.
"He's training, so we'll see what happens. I don't know," said Bob. "If he feels like he's ready to go back, I think he might, but again he's in a good position financially. I don't think he necessarily needs to return. Additionally, the doctors have advised against it. But Randy will ultimately make his own decisions."
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter in April, Orton's return to the ring is unlikely in the near future. Furthermore, if doctors have indeed advised against his return, WWE may not medically clear him for competition.
Randy Orton made his WWE debut back in 2002 as part of the Evolution faction alongside Triple H, Ric Flair, and Batista. In 2004, at just 24 years old, he became the youngest world champion in history.
His most recent appearance took place on the May 20, 2022 episode of SmackDown, where he and Matt Riddle lost the Raw Tag Team Championships to The Usos in a title unification match.
Randy Orton is undoubtedly a future Hall of Famer and one of the most accomplished and celebrated Superstars in WWE history.
